How it All Started
I’m Mahima, the creator behind Puchhka (formerly puchhka.com) — a cozy corner born out of curiosity, creativity, and a love for all things gentle.
Puchhka began in 2024, during a time when I was balancing life as a freelance photographer and running a candle business, Daakshya Store, with my biggest supporter — my mum. While Daakshya focused on the warmth of handmade candles and aromatherapy, Puchhka became a space for art, stories, and small moments of calm.
Over time, these two worlds began to intertwine — the comfort of candlelight met the tenderness of art. What started as two separate journeys slowly grew into one bigger universe, where creativity and wellness could coexist under one name: Puchhka.
Today, Puchhka is more than a brand — it’s a feeling. A space where stories, art, and comfort come together to remind you to pause, breathe, and find beauty in the small things.
What does 'Puch(h)ka' mean?
Puchhka (also known as Pani Puri or Golgappa) is that joyful Indian snack no one can resist. It’s light, refreshing, and always brings people together with laughter and delight.
That same feeling of simple, shared joy is what I hope to recreate through my work.
The glee I wish to pass on through Puchhka is the kind I felt when I’d walk into my favorite stationery store, open my cherished sticker book, or receive a handwritten letter from a faraway friend.
Puchhka, to me, is that spark of happiness — a reminder of the small, pure things that make life feel full again. I hope you find that same warmth here, and enjoy this shop as much as I love putting a little art and comfort into the universe.
Daakshya Candles
What began as Daakshya Store — a small mother-daughter dream to share our love for candles and scents — continues to glow warmly within Puchhka today.
Each candle is hand-poured with care, made using 100% soy wax and therapeutic blends of essential and fragrance oils. Every scent is designed to do more than just fill a room — it’s meant to calm your mind, lift your mood, and bring gentle wellness into your everyday spaces.
At Daakshya, our candles were never just decor pieces. They were vessels of warmth — crafted to heal, comfort, and remind you to pause and breathe.
That same philosophy now lives on within the Puchhka universe, where our love for scent meets our love for storytelling.
Each candle carries a piece of us — a little light, a little care, and a lot of heart.
Our purpose
At Puchhka, our purpose has always been simple — to spark a little more joy in people’s lives.
This brand was born from a deeply personal place. For a long time, I struggled with my mental health and often felt lost, searching for even the smallest moments of light. Puchhka became that light for me — and now I hope it can be the same for others.
Through my illustrations, designs, and happy little products, I want to create moments — even if it’s just five seconds — that make someone smile, feel seen, or feel a little less alone.
Because everyone deserves warmth, comfort, and the quiet reassurance that they matter.
